Brooklyn’s October 2018 News Report

Dear Families,

Thank you to all parents and children who joined us for a fun, information and learning night; Back to School. We had lots of fun showing how our toddlers participate in circle time, making ghost families in the infant room, and using fine motor skills to create monsters with candy cane teeth in Pre School.
When YOU think about October; brisk weather, a new season, falling leaves, pumpkins and apples, WE at Carelot learn and celebrate them. We also recognize National Fire Safety Week, teaching safe behaviors. Pre-schoolers spent all week practicing Stop, Drop and Roll, how to crawl under the smoke and don’t open a closed door that is hot. Both our infant and toddler’s room made hand and foot print fireman’s art. PreK’s sensory was for putting out “fires” and dramatic play had firefighter attire to explore and play.
While the pre-schoolers were rolling and learning, Ms. Vanessa, our infant room teacher, told me two of her infants rolled over onto their tummies by themselves! Our infants are achieving milestones every day.
We welcomed a new teacher into Lovebugs! When you get a chance stop by and say hello to Erika Kelly. She will be a welcomed addition to our team.
Near the end of the month we will all be exploring the inside of a pumpkin and apples. PreK will take a field trip to go apple picking. Lots of delicious apple snacks will be made and enjoyed by the children. We celebrate the season and learn!
We are now still enrolling for the fall. We only a few spots left. Please recommend the Brooklyn Carelot Center to your friends, coworkers for their child care needs.
