January News

Dear Carelot Families,

Happy New Year! I hope you all are sticking to your new year’s resolutions! This is a good time of the year to say “out with the old and in with the new!” Speaking of which, we ask that you please update your child’s forms as needed. Do they need chap-stick for the winter? We have a form for that! Do they have a new pediatrician? Do you have a new job? These are all things that can slip through the cracks on a day to day basis, but we need these forms updated periodically for emergency purposes. It’s better to be as prepared and informed as possible.

A few reminders this month are to please make sure your child is prepared for outdoor play. This includes hats, gloves, scarves and a warm winter coat. Also please make sure you have updated your child’s clothing bin for warmer clothes. Please make sure you have “liked” our Facebook and Instagram page to stay up to date on any weather closings or special announcements.

Don’t forget we will be closed Monday, January 20th for our teachers to enjoy a day of learning.   We will also be conducting our bi-annual family-teacher conferences in the afternoon.   Please be sure you have scheduled a time with your child’s teacher to go over their progress and goals for the rest of the school year.

We have enjoyed some great activities this month! Infants have been very busy learning how to hold their own bottles and having lots of tummy time.  Love bugs and Busy Bees have been really interested in Sensory activities and art. The Butterflies classroom has been learning the letter of the week and working on spelling their names.  Lots of learning is happening!

As always please feel free to stop into the office or email to  for any questions, comments or concerns.
