The PTO is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization made up of families, teachers, and administrators working together to enhance the experience of all children enrolled at Carelot Children’s Centers. Throughout the year the organization sponsors and organizes family functions, children’s events, and programs. The PTO provides funding for environmental enhancements and programs to complement the curriculum which is accomplished through various fundraising activities. Our success depends on volunteers and contributions from the community and participation from our families and teachers

SLUMBER CLUB– Friday, December 9th and Friday, December 16th- 5:30pm-9:30pm – Families enjoy a night out while their child enjoys an evening of crafts, movies, pizza, and fun! CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
ONE-STOP HOLIDAY SHOPPING: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5TH @ East Lyme High School- 10am -2pm- Shop from over 50 crafters/vendors/small businesses, door prizes, food, and fun!!
HOLIDAY GIVING TREE 2023: This year the committee will be choosing 6 families from the community to support based on applications that are received. All donations for our giving tree will be due by December 11th! Thank you in advance for your generosity!
PROVIDER APPRECIATION: May 2023- This week we dedicate ourselves to our AMAZING and TALENTED staff at Carelot!! Each day the staff will receive surprise goodies!
RONALD VLAUN SCHOLARSHIP– Each year the PTO offers scholarship monies to High School seniors from Waterford/East Lyme for students pursuing a degree with the intention to work with children. Applications are accepted through April 1st each year. Applications can be printed here and submitted to Carelot PTO – 315 Flanders Rd. East Lyme, CT 06333- Applications are due by April 1st of each year.

May- Provider Appreciation-Let’s celebrate our educators. A week-long event!
October- Community Events- Harvest Festivals and Trunk or Treat
November- Community Events– Thanksgiving Baskets – Please drop off your food items in the designated containers in the main hallway. One-Stop Holiday Shopping Extravaganza held at ELHS on the 1st Sunday of November- 10 am-2 pm
December- Community Events– Holiday Giving Trees– Pick a tag off of our Holiday Tree to purchase an item for one of our adopted families! Applications for families are being accepted and are due no later than November 12th. Slumber Club- A night of pizza, movies, and crafts for your little one while you enjoy an evening out.
